This is mainly in relation to large capital investments (design and project management) as well as operational solutions.
To join our team of 170 highly skilled technical professionals, we currently seek an expert and experienced Automation Engineer.

Principal objectives and accountabilities
As an Automation Engineer within EOS your main responsibility is to translate customer requirements into an optimal technical and functional design. This involves coordinating the outsourcing of engineering- and construction contractors and suppliers/vendors, then overseeing the realization phase.
You are responsible for the complete automation process. This includes instrumentation, wiring, documentation graphics design, interlocks and safety functions, alarm and asset management, control room design, basic and advanced process control for continuous and batch processes and production control (MES).
At all times you focus on quality, cost-efficiency, planning, sustainability, HSE&S compliance and customer satisfaction. You also take a pro–active stance towards initiating improvements in design and work processes.
In addition to project management, you perform studies and give advice when requested. In pre-projects you are responsible for the automation cost estimates.
You act as the focal point for the customers in your field of expertise and maintain contacts with customers, plant people, contractors, vendors and so on. This involves active participation in (inter)national forums and networks.
You report to the local team leader of the branch office.
Candidate profile
To apply for this position you should have a technical Bachelors degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in an engineering environment. Additionally, you are eager to continuously develop your skills in new areas of expertise.
You are able to combine a conceptual way of thinking with a practical approach, and you have a flexible and result driven attitude. Within this context, you are a team player who takes responsibility, initiative, and can make decisions when required.
Needless to say, you have a high level of attention to detail and you are familiar with (inter)national standards, codes and regulations. You also possess excellent customer care skills and good commercial awareness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are important so that you are effective in terms of initiating relations, advising people and reporting on progress of projects and results. As such, you can speak and write Dutch and English, and preferably German.
