Expanding its sales and service capability in Asia
As a consequence of fast growing demand for its services and to continue to service a growing customer base in Asia, Simax is entering into a partnership with Dymek which has extensive sales and service network in South East Asia in the high tech equipment. Dymek will be Simax sales and service representative in China and South East Asia in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) ABS slider market, IC packaging and LED market segments.
02/29/12 Simax and Semicon China 2012
Visit Simax at Semicon China 2012, booth 4501, and the annual Simax Applications workshop on March 21st.
The Simax team will exhibit engineering services in the newly designed booth, located in Hall E4, number 4501. A visit will allow customers to understand the support organization the company has established in China, as well as an understanding of its advanced full services, lithography equipment, and application services. Simax’s Chinese experts will be available at the booth.
01/11/12 Simax Services adds GCA Stepper Partner RTS Technologies to its Lithography Portfolio
Simax Services today announced it has signed partnership agreement with RTS Technologies, the largest independent provider for GCA Stepper equipment, to distribute RTS Lithography Products and Services. Eduard Hoeberichts, President and CEO of Simax Services commented, "The inclusion of GCA Steppers completes Simax’s portfolio of Lithography combinations to that of ASML, Canon and Nikon tool capabilities.”
12/07/11 Full Field Dose to Clear Technique
A significant part of a process engineer’s job is to develop simple and effective monitors that employ minimal non-productive equipment time. Dose To Clear or DTC is one such test. In state of the art modern wafer fabrication facilities, engineers rarely actually look at the wafers to fully understand the failure cause and rely on the automated metrology equipment to evaluate and define the corrective action. This is typically effective provided the metrology analysis algorithm has been pre-programed to provide the answer to a previously observed issue/solution. Occasionally a process problem occurs that has not been observed before, which the automated system can output inadequate solutions. This is where the process engineer needs to go into the fab and physically visually inspect the wafers and equipment.
11/28/11 Simax now also on eBay
Simax’s Parts Store on eBay opened last week, offering customers around the world easy online access to replacement parts for their lithography systems. Simax joins a growing number of established semiconductor equipment companies that have begun selling on the site over the last few years. The Simax store will initially offer a selection of often used parts for ASML Steppers and Scanners. In the coming months, Simax will expand the store by adding more parts from ASML, Nikon, and other lithography equipment manufacturers.
Tracy Robinson, Parts Manager of Simax said: “There are customers who wish to buy parts directly and quickly online, and our eBay Store is a good solution for them. Through eBay, we believe we can engage with and satisfy a number of additional customers through what is a new retail channel for Simax.”
10/11/11 Simax Services and Teltec partner on commercial distribution agreement
Simax Services today announced it has signed an exclusive representative agreement with Teltec LLC., the top representative for semiconductor equipment firms in Europe and the Middle East, to distribute Simax’s Lithography Products and FabCare Services, and Core Systems family of ion implant products. In order to manage the growing demand for its services and focus on investing in technological capabilities, Simax is partnering with top level representative companies in selected markets. Teltec will immediately take on sales efforts for Simax’s products throughout Europe and provide account management support to Simax’s customers in those markets..

The 2nd Annual Simax Applications workshop at SVTC, “Processes and Metrology for Emerging Applications” was a great success with record attendance. The presentations covered a wide range of Applications and Metrology topics including: MEMS, LED, Bio, GaAs, and Photonics. The guest speakers, from HP, AZ, Triquint, Nanometrics, SVTC, DIMES, CPFC, Atmel, Benchmark and Incom, provided the audience with valuable insights into new developments and industry trends. The presentations were all aligned to the main theme of the workshop: “Back to the future”; where going “back” to rediscover legacy systems, and using them to develop “future products”, resonated strongly with the audience...
