01/26/12 Renewal of Philips Innovation Services ISO certification
As result of a successful audit by the quality certification authority DEKRA (previously KEMA Quality), Philips Innovation Services’ ISO 9001, 14001 and 13485 certifications have all been renewed as per 1st January 2012. This is a positive endorsement of the new management system set up and deployed in the first year’s operation of Philips Innovation Services.
01/19/12 Joris Bokkes of Philips Innovation Services wins Best Young Professional 2012 Award
Philips Innovation Services is proud to announce that our colleaugue Joris Bokkes has been awarded the Best Young Professional 2012 Award. Joris is one of the team of consultants at Philips Industry Consulting, part of Philips Innovation Services, geared to helping our clients in the acceleration of innovation to profit, lean innovation and manufacturing, and operational excellence. The contest, organized by the HR communications company Memory Group, attracted 700 contestants, and is awarded on assessment of various professional disciplines, educational results, current professional position and career development.
01/08/12 Philips Innovation Services grows with additional high-tech competence groups
As of January 2012, Philips Innovation Services is further strengthened by the merger with additional competence groups in high-tech mechanization for innovative manufacturing processes and industrial production equipment (Philips GTDM), as well as optical measurement and mechanical/electrical prototyping.
12/19/11 New techniques take control beyond rigidity in high-precision systems
During the 2011 edition of the Precision fair, Philips Innovation Services unveiled promising improvements on motion control techniques that could enable a big step forward in the performance of high-precision systems (HPS). The world of high-precision systems is undergoing a fundamental change. System owners are demanding ever higher productivities and accuracy. To make that possible while keeping power consumption and heat dissipation at acceptable levels, system designers are moving away from the traditional paradigm of rigid moving parts and learning to factor in flexibility.

11/10/11 Latest advances in Substrate Conformal Imprint Lithography (SCIL) presented at MNE and NNT Conferences
Marc Verschuuren (Philips Research) has recently presented the latest advances in SCIL at two international conferences: MNE (Micro and Nano Engineering) and NNT (Nanoimprint and Nanoprint Technology). Check out the NNT presentation for more information. SCIL is one of the cutting-edge services offered commercially by MiPlaza, Philips Innovation Services, in the field of nano- and micro-technology. Philips has developed a vital signs camera technology that makes measuring heart rate and respiration more comfortable. Instead of on-body sensors stuck to the skin or devices strapped to the body, the camera simply needs to see the person. Philips Innovation Services is proud to support this innovation with software engineering expertise.
10/24/11 Holst Centre and Philips Research celebrate successful 5 year collaboration with new contract
Since 2005, Philips Research and a growing amount (35) of other industrial partners combine their innovation power at Holst Centre, an open-innovation initiative by imec (B) and TNO (NL), to take technology in the areas of wireless sensors and flexible electronics to the next level. In over 5 years, scientists achieved substantial scientific progress, resulting in several technology breakthroughs. Philips Research was co-author of over 20 of Holst Centre’s patent filings and more than 100 technical notes.
