01/27/12 Datalight Releases Support for and ClearNAND, Windows Compact 7 and VxWorks 6.9
Datalight today announced the release of FlashFX Tera 2.1, the latest version of its flash memory manager, which includes extensive updates for a range of hardware and software platforms. The product now supports both standard and enhanced ClearNAND, the newest versions of the Windows Compact 7 and VxWorks operating systems, and Freescale’s i.MX51 processor. An important new flash technology, ClearNAND improves the reliability and performance of smaller and more advanced memory devices (25-nanometer and below), making them more attractive to manufacturers of enterprise servers, tablet PCs, portable media players, and dozens of other consumer applications.

11/10/11 Datalight Releases File Level Secure Delete on e•MMC 4.4x
Today Datalight released a new version of its Reliance Nitro File System, the first product to offer software support for file level secure delete, utilizing features defined by the e•MMC 4.40 and 4.41 specifications. The secure delete feature in Reliance Nitro purges all the file data, including any hidden copies created by the file system to safe-guard reliability, when a file is copied or altered by the file system to ensure a completely secure erase. Assuming the complimentary hardware support, users can be confident that every instance or fragment of a file will be permanently deleted and therefore unrecoverable.
