02/02/12 KMWE successfully installes first Unipro 5000
KMWE today announced the installation of the first Unipro 5000 for the machining of large complex components and aerostructures. Because of the growing demand for the machining of large 5 axis parts KMWE decided to expand the current large machining capacity (2x Unipro 5P) with the latest developed Unipro 5000 with an option for a second machine planned for second half of 2012 for our Turkish operation. With the Unipro 5000 KMWE is able now to machine parts up to 2650 mm.

Wednesday, 27 april, Hans Dijkman (Philips) and Edward Voncken (KMWE and chairman SPOMM) signed the agreement for the cooperation. This is the startsignal for connecting the Philips Employmentplan (WGP) and SPOMM (possibilities for a carreer in metalelectro and metal working).The Philips WGP is a practicle formula of work connected to education and jobtraining for the reintegration of unemployed with a gap to the labour market. The goal of Philips WGP is to place these candidates after 2 year in the market. SPOMM yearly wants to take over a minimum of 10 candidates after one year for further education within their companies...
