CoreView 6.0, Hexagon Metrology’s latest software for Cognitens white light systems, now features CoreView Teach Pro. This new offline programming module simplifies preparation of measurement routines for white light robotic cells.CoreView Teach Pro offers users of Cognitens WLS400A systems significant savings in time and effort for programming measurement routines. Thanks to the new module, measurements with the Cognitens WLS400A can be programmed from any computer without direct connection to the robot.

01/24/12 Hexagon Metrology enhances white light offering with CoreView 6.0

Hexagon Metrology today announced the availability of CoreView 6.0 for the Cognitens WLS400 automated and manual white light measurement systems. The new version includes an offline programming module for the robotic measuring system Cognitens WLS400A. All CoreView modules now use the full memory and CPU resources by running on native 64-bit architecture. This supports larger CAD files, dense point cloud visualization and accelerated result computation. New flush and gap capabilities support measurement of matching parts in their actual assembled position.

11/30/11 Groundbreaking ceremony for new production hall at Hexagon Metrology

Hexagon Metrology set to double its production floor area with the start of construction of a new production hall in Wetzlar. After more than two years of planning, Hexagon Metrology commenced construction of a new 10-metre-high production hall in Wetzlar. "Now we can get going," said Holger Fritze, Managing Director of Hexagon Metrology GmbH on 18th November 2011. A host of honoured guests, among them Mayor Manfred Wagner, were welcomed to the groundbreaking ceremony for the new production hall.

Hexagon Metrology announced today the availability of CoreView 5.5 for the Cognitens WLS400 automated and manual white light measurement systems. The new version offers improved capabilities in measuring a work piece’s geometric characteristics as well as 2D cross section analysis tools. A new sensor is available for the Leitz Reference series of coordinate measuring machines in the form of the LSP-X1h. It accepts extremely long styli: capable of accommodating styli lengths of 20 to 225 mm in the axial orientation and up to 50 mm in the lateral orientation. The maximum stylus weight is 33 g. The sensor attaches to the TESASTAR-m indexable articulated probe heads.
