10/24/11 Hauzer expanding in Europe and Asia
In Venlo Hauzer started its business in 1983, the time that Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technology started claiming its functional advantages, giving a longer lifetime to tools, less friction on automotive components and scratch resistance for decorative products. The company moved once within Venlo since then and now the time has come to add an extension to the building. Over the summer an assembly hall of more than 1500 m2 has been added to the capacity of building PVD coating equipment for customers all over the world. “We have more than doubled our capacity,” Thomas Krug explains. “And we will need it for building more Flexicoat® batch machines and special equipment. Some of the specials we are working on now, are much larger than usual. When there is a requirement for larger coating capacity, the equipment will grow as well.”
03/28/11 Joint Development University of Leeds and Hauzer Techno Coating
The University of Leeds, School of Mechanical Engineering, and Hauzer joined forces to develop their knowledge on tribological coatings and find innovations for the automotive market and other sectors. “There is a lot of work to do,” Tomasz Liskiewicz, Research Fellow in Engineering
Interface Design at the university, explains. “We want to
investigate how tribological applications can benefit from novel
PVD methods. Our extensive research together with Hauzer’s
industrial expertise will benefit that mission.”
10/06/10 Hitachi Tool tested HIPIMS+ and is impressed
In the summer of 2010, Hitachi Tool Engineering tested several samples of their cutting tools coated with HIPIMS+, the technology developed by Hauzer Techno Coating. The results exceeded the expectations. “We are very pleased that what we expected in our research and development has proven to be accurate and even better in the real circumstances of precision tools”, says Lucien Peeters, product manager tool at Hauzer...
